One of my favorite compositions. This was painted on acid free paper with acrylic paint and then varnished. It measures 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches tall. No. 16 was painted in 2009.
I'm a part-time artist fascinated by color and shape. I'm drawn to more abstract subject matter. I hope you enjoy what you see here. Feel free to comment, critique, or just say hello. Most images here can be enlarged by clicking on them.

Statement
"You cannot legitimately want or hope for anything from art except quality." - Clement Greenburg
Line, color, texture, and space have fascinated me for more than a decade. Consequently, my subject matter tends to be abstract and geometric. Composition, design, and structure are major concerns. I work deliberately knowing that inevitable problems in execution will revise and transcend the original idea. Ultimately, I want to create iconic, sophisticated, aesthetic, and wonderfully flawed images that look “right” - a never ending search for quality.
