No. 26 was painted in April 2010. As I tore away the masking tape, I tore away the painting...

Statement

"You cannot legitimately want or hope for anything from art except quality." - Clement Greenburg

Line, color, texture, and space have fascinated me for more than a decade. Consequently, my subject matter tends to be abstract and geometric. Composition, design, and structure are major concerns. I work deliberately knowing that inevitable problems in execution will revise and transcend the original idea. Ultimately, I want to create iconic, sophisticated, aesthetic, and wonderfully flawed images that look “right” - a never ending search for quality.
